Hundreds of bargain hunters descended on Fashion Week's annual pop-up sale at Auckland's waterfront this morning.
Shoppers queued for the 9am opening, eager to snap up cut-price designer clothes and accessories at the Viaduct Events Centre.
Among them was Taranaki GP Dr Dana Hook who had brought three of her kids north for the weekend.
"I love this event and it will be a full weekend of relaxing and shopping for us," she said.
"There are some pretty good deals to be had for adults and children so I suppose I will be having a bit of a spend up."
A record-breaking 32 designers are taking part in this year's event, with up to 12,000 people expected to attend.
Fashion Week founder Dame Pieter Stewart said it was exciting to see the debut of top labels Superette and Sass & Bide.
"They are popular editions to this year's event," she said. "Lots of people come for the day but an increasing number of women are coming from out of town making a whole weekend of it.
"The first pop-up sale we had 10 years ago was held in a shed so it is pleasing to see how this has grown.
"Most people who come to Fashion Week come to the sale and there is always a great buzz about the place."
Fashion Week wraps up tomorrow with events such as the Resene Designer Runway, the New Zealand Weddings Magazine Show and the Exhibit Hair Show.
