So what happens is someone combines the two for what could be the strangest beauty trend ever?

YouTube star and CoverGirl spokesman James Charles did just that and has caused a frenzy online for using his fidget spinner to apply contour and highlight.

James shared the tutorial video with his 1.9 million followers and captioned the post: "FIDGET SPINNER CONTOURING?! Have you guys played with one of these things yet?!

"I thought they were so dumb at first but they really help with ADHD and they're so fun."

The internet was quick to react and people were certainly not sold on the trend.

While the YouTube megastar manages to create a flawless make up look, we aren't so sure that this beauty hack is here to stay.
