Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been travelling around the country, leaving Clarke in charge of young Neve - and now he's revealed how he keeps from "missing her too much" while she's on the road.
Gayford shared a photo to Twitter of a one-of-a-kind pillowcase with his fiancée's face onit as well as a silver fern and some roses.
"Amazing the curios picked up on the campaign trail," he wrote.
"This wee gem of a gift was slipped onto my pillow so I won't miss her too much while she's out getting it done and I'm home stocking up on 2L milks."
The cheeky reference to two-litre milk comes after Jacinda was asked to guess the prices of household groceries during Tuesday night's political leaders' debate.

She and National leader Judith Collins both failed to correctly guess the price of a leg of lamb, with Clarke later admitting that "owing to a freezer full of venison it's also my fault that no lamb has been purchased in a while".
Jacinda is currently on the campaign trail ahead of election day on October 17.
