Nick Cave was stopped by security as he walked on stage to perform with his band in London and told his cans of beer and cigarettes were against the venue's rules.
According to a source, Cave said "Fine, if I can't take a beer on with me, I'm going backto my dressing room. You can go out there and tell some jokes to entertain the crowd for three hours." After an awkward wait, venue authorities backed down.
