We ordered the Shore Road shakshura - yellow and red peppers with onions, tomato and spices topped with poached eggs, feta and crusted bread ($17.50) and the green fritters - spinach and chilli with bacon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce ($17.50). Both were well presented and very tasty. The fritters were so filling that Leanne was dismayed not to be able to leave her plate clean.
The service was excellent - the coffee arrived almost immediately and the entirely male front-of-house staff were friendly, efficient and cheerful.
The coffee was just right. The barista knew his stuff.
We recommend if you come here sit outside and pretend you're in a quiet village, while only minutes away from the bustle of the city.
Overall we thought Shore Road made a welcome change from some other cafes we've visited recently that have stock-standard menu items. Adding interest to the choices is a big plus.
