We came here because our first choice of cafe had closed and we spotted this one on our way back to the bridge.

Parking was easy on the street front, although this is not always the case in this popular suburb.

We walked in and immediately thought the vibes were good, being surrounded by the great-looking imported deli items and cabinet food on display.

The most unusual thing on the menu was not so much an issue. The meals offered were a good range of Europe-influenced cuisine.

We ordered the courgette and feta fritters with sweetcorn salsa and avocado ($13.50) and Spanish scrambled eggs with chorizo, olives, roasted peppers, feta and shallots on toasted ciabatta ($16.50). Both were disappointing on the flavour side. However, while waiting, we shared an almond croissant from the cabinet ($3.50). It was divine - and very fresh.

The service was no more and no less than one would expect.

The coffee was Atlas brand and hit the spot nicely.

We recommend if you come here have a look around the deli items, you may find something new and exciting for dinner.

Overall we thought the cook may have been having an off-day, but the food was not as enticing as the goodies in the cabinet appeared.
