We ordered the smashed avocado along with porridge with cream and apple ragout ($9.50). The porridge was great on a chilly morning, made better by the moreish stewed apple, and the smashed avocado with egg and watercress was lovely but the dukkah was a little overpowering.
The coffee was just okay. We would normally have ordered a second round but weren't inclined to here.
The service was terrific. The waitstaff are lovely. If you have little ones, they cater for them too - a great kids' menu plus crayons and colouring books and a terrific collection of reading books for the kids.
We recommend if you come here you enjoy the warmth and lovely decor and indulge in a couple of sweet treats from the bakery to take home after brunch.
Overall we thought the menu is interesting, the food very good, and the service terrific - the only thing that fell flat was the coffee.
