Susie Porter plays Cin, a modern, independent Australian woman; David Wenham plays Josh, a modern, independent Australian man. They meet at a party and within a few hours they're at Cin's modern, independent loft for the night.
Unfortunately Josh is flying back to England in
three days, so they spend the time convincing themselves that there's no way they're going to fall in love.
They do this through a string of pointless and self-absorbed conversations, with each other, friends and an unseen narrator, or by Josh walking around the flat in his underpants humming Should I Stay Or Should I Go? just in case we've forgotten the plot in the two minutes since we were last reminded of it.
And at the end there's a conclusion that goes against everything the movie has led up to but, hey, I was happy for them. I figured they deserved each other.
