Get up and get active. That's the simple message Nickelodeon wants to drive home with today's Let's Just Play event. Featuring obstacle courses, relay races and games, climbing walls, bouncy castles and slides, the event's focus is on fun and free activities. Local celebs Kate Hawkesby, Peter Urlich and Jayne Kiely will also be there to join the fun and games.

Deadline theatre
Auckland's best playwrights and actors are being put to the ultimate test this weekend with the Urbis 24-hours Deadline Theatre. Ten playwrights will have just 12 hours to each write a 10-minute play. A team of three actors, including Claire Chitham, will then have just 12 hours to learn and rehearse the plays, before performing them in tomorrow night's showcase.

Though some may think remodelled cars do not constitute artwork, the 100-plus entrants at this year's Auto Salon show beg to differ. In Wellington this weekend, the show will visit Christchurch and Auckland in coming months before awarding the "God of Auto Salon" title to the phattest ride.
