Beach Boys' musical over after three-month stint

Good Vibrations, the Beach Boys' musical, will close on Sunday after a three-month Broadway run.

The show, which opened on February 2 to largely negative reviews, will have played 94 performances and six weeks of previews.

The Associated Press called the musical "bland", saying "pop classics alone can't make musical theatre - especially when accompanied by a sketchy, almost non-existent plot, lame wit and meagre character development."
