Luxury label Balenciaga has been criticised for selling a baffling T-shirt "shirt".
The Spanish brand is charging up to $US1345 ($NZD1925) for the confusing clothing item that features either a crew neck T-shirt or short-sleeved shirt (dubbed the "double shirt"), with a second, button-up checked shirt attached to the frontof it.

The designs have been branded a "joke", "bizarre", "fake" and simply "WTF" on social media.
It is yet another eyebrow-raising design from Balenciaga, which was last year mocked for releasing a calfskin carryall that was nearly identical to the Ikea blue shopping bag … only with a $A2150 ($NZ2329) price tag.
I just do not know what to say @BALENCIAGA, please explain to me what a t-shirt shirt is, how did you come up with this, and which demographic were you aiming at? pic.twitter.com/jZjZWYO70c
For those who are daring enough to wear the fashion forward (or backward) styles, they are available for pre-order now from balenciaga.com and are expected to ship in July, according to the brand.
Last April, Ikea said it was "flattered" by Balenciaga's copycat tote.
"We are deeply flattered that the Balenciaga tote bag resembles the Ikea iconic sustainable blue bag for 99 cents. Nothing beats the versatility of a great big blue bag!" the brand said in a statement.
Balenciaga, a favourite label of Kylie Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian and Bella Hadid, is currently causing mayhem online with its top-selling Triple S low-top trainers.
