All Black midfielder and Crusaders captain David Havili, 30, married his fiancée, registered nurse and pilates instructor Lucy Sellwood, on Saturday in a picturesque Wānaka wedding.
The Havilis married at Dublin Bay, an events and wedding venue overlooking Lake Wānaka with a picturesque mountain backdrop.
Havili’s All Black teammates in attendance included prop Ethan de Groot and his wife, people and culture manager Claudia, fullback Will Jordan and his fiancée, creative content and marketing designer Mackenzie Webb, and former All Black and Crusaders player Israel Dagg, with his wife, Daisy.

There was a large turnout of Havili’s Crusaders teammates, including Mitchell Drummond with his wife Charlotte, Fletcher Newell and his wife Caitlyn and Chiefs player Brodie McAlister and his wife Laura.

Guests chose to dress for the hot weather, with women in colourful summer dresses and the men in a combination of open-neck shirts and jackets.
While the wedding photos were taken, guests enjoyed beverages and canapes on the grass at Dublin Bay with stylish cream umbrellas providing shade.

They announced their engagement early in 2024, after Havili proposed while on holiday at Abel Tasman National Park.
Sellwood spent time travelling in Spain, Greece and Croatia before joining Havili in France for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
They followed their holiday engagement with a party the next month with friends and family in Christchurch.

In the build-up to her wedding, Sellwood had her bachelorette party with an Abba theme in the picturesque seaside town of Akaroa.
The celebrations started at a clifftop home, with a pin-up of her future husband on the wall, followed by lunch at Ma Maison. The bachelorettes and bride-to-be then put their best Abba outfits on for a boat cruise on Banks Peninsula.
It’s likely the couple will stay in New Zealand for at least another couple of years - in May, Havili signed with New Zealand Rugby through the 2027 season.
Broadcaster Wilhelmina Shrimpton and her rugby referee partner Ben O’Keeffe also got married at the weekend, with their nuptials taking place at Queenstown hospitality venue Ayrburn.
Liam Lawson’s talent manager Mikayla Haycock is due to marry robotics engineer and Rich List son Toby Baker in January. Later that month, multimillionaire businessman and former Black Cap Adam Parore will marry property management director Libby Price, and Pals co-founder Mat Croad will marry his fiancée, Rachel Needham.
