Her caption read: "Just made chicken medium rare chicken strips. They're so good can't believe ive neever tried it like this before. Can't wait to dig into this with my homemade salad and veges. #healthy #newyearsresolution #clean #cleaneating
Commenters couldn't work out whether she was joking or not.
"I like my chicken with less salmonella" said one friend.
"Honestly some people will believe your (sic) being serious and even stupider people could actually try it," said another.
But Brian Laurikainen, who clearly realised Morgan was trolling the clean eating movement wrote "You should only cook it this way if you're 100 per cent sure the chicken wasn't vaccinated. Because that gives them autism and autistic chickens get salmonella. 5 minutes of Google research will make you an expert in this subject".
She then received the ultimate form of flattery (!) when someone from Texas who was clearly hungry for a bit of the attention ripped off her post, word for word.
Dakota's post went viral and was picked up by YouTuber ActionJaxon who went on an expletive-laden rant about the chicken. One standout line is "Medium rare chicken ... WTF? B***h, you cannot cook chicken with sunlight!"
Strangers on Twitter started to chime in, as strangers on Twitter tend to do:
Pedestrian pointed out one of the more alarming factors in this saga - that image is an actual dish. That people eat. Without dying from salmonella poisoning, apparently.
