Dr Catherine Stone is one of only two New Zealand doctors to be trained in the procedures. They are both based at Britomart's the Face Place Med Spa.
"The O-Shot is just two simple little injections into specific areas which help not only with improving sensation but also with urinary stress incontinence," Stone said.
The treatment was proving very popular, particularly among women who had recently had babies or were going through menopause.
"The treatment's still very new in New Zealand but the people we've treated so far have been really positive about the results" she said.
Stone said as part of their training, all her staff would undergo the treatment themselves in the coming weeks.
"I've had it, I didn't think I needed it ... but, without going into too much detail, I've definitely noticed significant improvements."
The procedure takes less than 10 minutes and a numbing cream is usually applied making it painless in most cases.
Although the majority of the Face Place Med Spa's clients were women, men were having the P-Shot treatment to combat erectile dysfunction and improve sexual performance.
The spa also offers the Vampire Breastlift, the Vampire Facial and the Vampire Facelift, which was made famous by A-listers Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie.
The O-Shot and P-Shot cost $1800 for a treatment and consultation, the Vampire Facelift and Breastlift $1995.
