Missing Kiwi man Luc van Kradenburg found in Sydney

A missing Kiwi man in Sydney has been found after New South Wales police said they had serious concerns for his welfare.

Luc van Kradenburg grew up on Kāpiti Coast north of Wellington and friends and family have been posting on social media in a desperate search for him.

This afternoon, the family said he 24-year-old has been located and was grateful for the support, while the “details of what happened are still unclear”.

“The outpouring of kindness from all of you has helped us to keep it together over the past few days,” the family said in a post to social media.

New South Wales police said van Kradenburg had been last seen leaving a licenced premise on Merrylands Rd and heading towards Merrylands Railway Station at 7.30pm on October 30.

“When he could not be located or contacted, officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him,” police said in a statement.
