Maori Party MP Te Ururoa Flavell believes the Supreme Court's decision in the Urewera case will affect public confidence in the police.
The Supreme Court has ruled police actions in filming most of those arrested in the so-called terror raids were illegal.
Mr Flavell said the findings were bound to
have an adverse impact on the reputation of the police.
He said they were also cold comfort to the families and friends of those who were originally charged.
Mr Flavell said as their local MP, he's determined to hold someone to account.
