Spider-Man is due for another reboot. Photo / Marvel
British actor Tom Holland is the new Spider-Man. He will put on the Spidey suit in Captain America: Civil War, and again in another new rebooted Spider-Man series.

Sony tested 1500 boys for the role, with Holland shortlisted alongside actors Asa Butterfield, Charlie Rowe, Judah Lewis, Matthew Lintz and Judah Lewis.
Holland has appeared in Billy Elliot: The Musical and The Impossible, the 2012 film about the Boxing Day Tsunami for which he won the Empire magazine award for Best Newcomers.
The role of Peter Parker has previously been played by Tobey Maguire, who starred in Sam Raimi's trilogy, and Andrew Garfield, who appeared in two Amazing Spider-Man films directed by Marc Webb.
The new Spider-Man film, which has a release date of July 2017, will be directed by Jon Watts. His CV includes the thriller Cop Car, starring Kevin Bacon, and the horror film Clown.
