"I wanted you all to be the first to know that I won't be returning to X Factor Aus this year," she tweeted. "I am enjoying my time on X Factor NZ and I am super excited about the future."
The former Rogue Traders frontwoman said her new kids clothing line, Chi Khi, is "going crazy". "I have some exciting things in the pipeline that I can't wait to share with you all. Watch this space!" Bassingthwaighte wrote.
The former Neighbours star has previously said she's had to juggle her new X Factor NZ role with her young family back home in Australia.
