The album's called Once Upon a Time In Shaolin, but for the Wu-Tang Clan their special 'one-off' record has been anything but a fairy tale.
The influential rap group is being sued by Warren Patterson, the photographer who took the album's cover shot.
Patterson is suing for $1million, claiming hespent 80 hours working on the shot of an ornate silver jewellery box with the Wu-Tang logo on it, between 2013 and 2014.
He is suing for copyright infringement, saying he was never paid for his work, did not have a contract with the group and did not know it was going to be used as the artwork for a new record.
Patterson says the photo has been used without his permission.
Once Upon a Time In Shaolin has been anything but a fairy tale for the Wu-Tang Clan. They produced one copy of the record which they put up for auction. Notorious pharma-bro and convicted fraudster Martin Shkreli won the auction, paying $2million for the only copy of the record.
When he was sentenced he was ordered to hand the album over to the authorities. Wu-Tang mastermind RZA attempted to buy the album back, but a clause in the contract of sale prevented him from doing so.
Commenting on the matter to Rolling Stone RZA said, "Ain't that a b***h".
