KEY POINTS:
TVNZ is keeping Mum on whether a second series of Burying Brian will make next year's schedule but producer Robin Scholes says a funding application to New Zealand on Air has been made.
Scholes told OnFilm magazine the storylines for the second series were terrific, saying "it just gets better and better".
The series was met with mixed critical response but fared reasonably in the ratings in its timeslot, coming in behind TV3's SVU: Special Victims Unit but ahead of TV2's Chuck.
No word as yet on a second Brian series title. Now that Brian is officially buried, we can only assume the next season will have to start as Exhuming Brian, perhaps followed by a third season, Embalming Brian.
