A "leaked" tour poster touting Chvrches, Albert Hammond Jr and Sufjan Stevens as the headliners for next year's Laneway Festival has been officially branded as fake. But is it?
Two of the acts that feature on the poster - Hudson Mohawke and Purity Ring - appear to be real afterthe acts confirmed their involvement, and two others are rumoured to be touring around the time of the festival.
The poster, currently doing the rounds on social media, also features rappers Vince Staples and Chance the Rapper, singer-songwriter Lykke Li, as well as Panda Bear, Soak and Viet Cong, among others.
It has officially been labelled "not ours" by New Zealand Laneway promoters.
And as website Faster Louder pointed out, the poster's artwork was taken from an ad for Laneway's SXSW party, and band names aren't in alphabetical order as they usually are on Laneway artist posters.
However, two of the acts featured on the poster do indeed seem to be real.
Electronic duo Purity Ring recently played Aussie festival Splendour in the Grass, and during an interview with Triple J they admitted they were "looking forward to Laneway".
And in an interview with Stoney Roads, Hudson Mohawke said: "I don't know if it's been announced yet but we'll be at Laneway next summer for you guys."
In the Mix also reported that Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr and Sufjan Stevens have said they would be touring Australia in summer, around the same time as Laneway.
Laneway's line-up is expected to be announced in September. The Australasian festival is currently looking at new site options in New Zealand - possibly in Wellington or Christchurch - after Silo Park and Auckland Domain were ruled out for next year's event.
