Who will die in Game of Thrones' fifth season finale?

Will it be Cersei Lannister, dirty, depressed and drinking water off the floor while locked up in the High Sparrow's jail cell?

Will it be Stannis Baratheon, who seems set to hit the battlefield despite the odds being stacked against him and his snow-covered army?

Will it be John Snow at the Wall as he prepares to battle the army of zombie soldiers called White Walkers?

Or will it be Sansa, who's suffering through a torrid, abusive marriage with wretched torturer Ramsay Bolton?

Game of Thrones fans are hanging out for answers when the finale of the epic fifth season of their favourite HBO show airs on Monday night.

Thrones holds no punches when it comes to killing off main characters - in one episode called 'The Red Wedding' several were offed all at once.

Despite some major controversy over several scenes, including this week's episode in which a young girl was sacrificed by being burned alive, there have been few major deaths this season.

That has fans speculating that a major character will be killed off in the finale.

While a new set of images yields few clues as to whose head might be on the chopping block, the episode's trailer features a telling quote from Sansa.

"If I'm going to die, let it happen while there's still some of me left," she says in despair.
