What in the world happened to MKR's Pete Evans?

Controversial My Kitchen Rules host Pete Evans has found himself in a bloody mess - and it's not from any kitchen misconduct.

The 38-year-old paleo advocate, who is a keen surfer, found himself a bit worse for wear after taking a quick dip.

He scraped his arm while surfing at the Namotu Island Resort in Fiji, but luckily, seems to be fine.

The chef, who is on a holiday with his daughters Chilli and Indii, took to social media to share a snap of himself holding up his bloodied right forearm.

"You gotta roll the dice sometimes," Pete captioned it.

"The wave before this one, was one of my best barrels I have ever had. Super low tide at Restaurants with just a couple of guys out."

"So much fun with a little pain thrown in too," the chef wrote.

Pete also tagged pro-surfer Kelly Slater and surf board brand Tomo, and added: "I sacrificed your board to save a bit more of my flesh on some exposed reef!"
