Watch the new trailer for Daniel Radcliffe's Frankenstein

The trailer for the new Frankenstein film has been released, promising to be an entertaining ride for mad scientists and monster enthusiasts.

The film Victor Frankenstein stars X-Men star James McAvoy as Victor Frankenstein and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant, Igor.

It puts a "new twist" on the latest film adaption of Mary Shelley's classic novel.

"It's about their journey and how they spur each other on towards greater and possibly more terrifying things," Radcliffe told Entertainment Weekly.

Victor Frankenstein is due for release in Australia on November 26.
