A thousand Foo Fighter fans gathered in Italy to implore their favourite band to visit their hometown, simultaneously covering one of the band's biggest songs.
The video posted on YouTube this week, shows 1000 musicians on a field jamming out a powerful cover of the Foos' 1999 hit Learn toFly.
The Rockin' 1000 project was founded by Foo fan Fabio Zaffagnini as a way to convince his favourite band to play in the northern Italian city of Cesano - and the resulting video provides a pretty convincing argument.
Shot from a crane, the video shows rows of drum kits, guitarists and vocalists performing the four-minute song in sync, while hundreds more watch on.
Following the performance, Zaffagnini addresses the camera, pleading Dave Grohl to pay them a visit.
"Italy is a country where dreams cannot easily come true, but it's a land of passion and creativity," he says. "One thousand rockers that came from all over [Italy paid] their own expenses, [and] just did it for one song: your song."
The video ends with a rousing chant of the bands' name from the huge crowd - hopefully one that will be heard by Dave Grohl himself.
