Producers behind hit zombie show The Walking Dead have apologised for spoiling Monday's mid-season finale for millions of fans.
The episode, which screened on TV2 in New Zealand on Monday night, saw the death of a major character in the episode's closing moments.
Butfans complained that a Facebook post from the show's official Twitter account that said simply, "RIP Beth" and showed a photo of Daryl carrying Beth's body, had spoiled the episode.
It was posted shortly after the episode aired in America's east coast, but before the episode had aired in the west coast and elsewhere around the world.
"This is the dumbest post I've ever seen from an official fb page. Spoiling a major plot point for millions of your fans? Someone should be fired over this," wrote one fan.
"Who in the hell runs the web page for TWD?! Fire them! The first spoiler was posted 60 seconds after the episode ended CENTRAL TIME. Thank you TWD. Thank you for spoiling before the rest of the world could watch," wrote another.
