Eva Longoria has asked gal pal Victoria Beckham to design her wedding dress.

The 41-year-old fashion designer has been asked to create the former Desperate Housewives actress's bridal gown when she and fiance Jose Antonio marry next summer, after they got engaged this month.

A source said: "Posh is keen to expand the wedding dress side of the business, so it's a dream come true for her to land this gig.

"She knew she was doing it before Jose even proposed."

Eva, 40, was previously married to American soap actor Tyler Christopher, then French basketball star Tony Parker, but is set to wed the Mexican TV boss in 2016, much to the delight of her pal Victoria - who is keen to develop her wedding portfolio.

The insider told The Sun newspaper: "Eva's wedding photos will be seen all over the world, so it'll be perfect publicity for Posh.

She's hoping it will spark a stampede for her wedding gowns. She won't charge though. Eva's a friend, and it's not like she needs the money."

Meanwhile, Victoria won't be short on ideas for the gown, as she recently gushed about how "inspiring" Eva is.

She shared: "I have known Eva for such a long time and she is my closest friend.
"I adore her. She is an inspiring, incredible human being."
