That puts it ahead of Campbell Live's 2014 average ratings, which never crossed the 100,000 threshold.
Campbell Live experienced a spike in ratings in its final weeks after it was announced the show's future was under review.
But Story is still well behind TV One's 7pm offering Seven Sharp, which saw an average of 517,000 viewers tune in throughout the week, of which 154,000 were aged 25-54.
The ratings reflect a much more stable start for Story than Seven Sharp's debut in 2013, which saw the programme shed more than 170,000 viewers across its first week.
Story screens four nights a week, with Lip Synch Battle scheduled to go up against Seven Sharp tonight.
