X Factor publicist Chris Henry said he didn't know anything about the woman spotted on Bedingfield's arm.
"I don't know anything about his girlfriend and he likes to keep that private, so I don't ask."
Meanwhile, another X Factor judge, Stan Walker, has said his grammar will improve when Kiwis start getting Maori pronunciation right.
To mark Maori Language Week, the 22-year-old told the Northern Advocate in Whangarei it was time Kiwis started pronouncing words like Aotearoa correctly.
He has been criticised for repeated use of words like "yous" on air.
"I'm going to keep speaking like this until people get their Maori right.
"I'm proud to be from New Zealand. I'm proud to be Maori."
