House of Cards star Elizabeth Norment has died at the age of 61.
Elizabeth Norment, who played Frank Underwood's ever-faithful secretary in House of Cards, has died.
The American actress passed away on 13 October at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, it has been confirmed.
She was 61.
Her co-star Kevin Spacey was among the first to honour the actress. "RIP ElizabethNorment. We all loved her and she leaves a void in all of us here at HoC's," he tweeted.
Production team MRC, who put the popular Netflix series together, also paid tribute to the late star.
"Elizabeth Norment was a talented actress with a beautiful spirit who touched the entire House of Cards family," a spokesperson told the Hollywood Reporter.
RIP Elizabeth Norment. We all loved her and she leaves a void in all of us here at HoC's.
"Everyone at House of Cards is deeply saddened by Elizabeth's passing," the show's writer, Beau Willemon, added.
"She was a talented actress, a warm soul and a good friend to us all. It's still unclear as to how the show plans on dealing with Elizabeth's absence."
