Probably most familiar to Kiwis as one of the regular funny men on the end of Graham Norton's couch, English comedy star John Bishop is heading to Auckland for the first time.
The Liverpool-born star is one of the biggest comics in the UK, and well known for this charity efforts - he raised more than $4 million ($9.3 million) for the BBC Sport Relief 2012 by riding, rowing and running from Paris to London in less than five days.
He's a regular face on British television in everyting from sports panel quiz show A League of their Own to presenting Live at the Apollo.
He's recently completed the first season of his own Saturday night variety programme, The John Bishop Show.
Bishop will perform at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna on Friday, October 16.
Meanwhile cult American comedy legend Kevin Smith is also heading here.
The writer, comedian, podcaster and film director will present An Evening With Kevin Smith at Auckland's SkyCity Theatre on September 17.
Smith found fame with the 90s cult classic film Clerks, which he wrote, directed and acted in - as the character Silent Bob.
His other films have included Chasing Amy, Dogma, Mallrats and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
