Comedian, John Bishop.
Probably most familiar to Kiwis as one of the regular funny men on the end of Graham Norton's couch, English comedy star John Bishop is heading to Auckland for the first time.
The Liverpool-born star is one of the biggest comics in the UK, and well known for this charity
efforts - he raised more than $4 million ($9.3 million) for the BBC Sport Relief 2012 by riding, rowing and running from Paris to London in less than five days.
He's a regular face on British television in everyting from sports panel quiz show A League of their Own to presenting Live at the Apollo.
He's recently completed the first season of his own Saturday night variety programme, The John Bishop Show.
Bishop will perform at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna on Friday, October 16.
