Yes, on February 14, 2015, Fat Freddy's Drop are heading to Auckland Zoo for their only local headlining
show this summer, and having recently entertained wild crowds of 10,000 at Alexandra Palace in London and Japanese mega roots festival Tokyo In Dub, they shouldn't have any problem keeping the animals captivated.
They've also announced the release of a special six-track iTunes session, which was recorded at Roundhead Studios in Auckland on their return to New Zealand, and captures their live energy on tracks like Dark Days, This Room, Blackbird, Russia, Cortina Motors MK1, and recent single from their upcoming new studio album Slings & Arrows.
The iTunes session will be released on Friday, December 12, with pre-order available from tomorrow, while tickets to the Auckland Zoo show on February 14, 2015 will be on pre-sale from Wednesday, December 3 at midday, and on general sale from Monday, December 8 at midday, through Ticketmaster.
