Blacklistt - the mostly reunited band formerly known as Blindspott until the lawyers got involved - are heading out on the road for a national tour.
The metallers will be polishing up new tracks From the Blind Spot and Worth Fighting For, plus picking the eyes out of the Blindspott back catalogue of local hits.
It's the band's first tour since their farewell jaunt five years ago and unsurprisingly frontman Damian Alexander is pumped.
"This is the first time the original line-up has toured in a long time - we have never been so amped for a tour! We have put a lot of time into crafting a next level show ... it's time for us to give back to all our fans for their unwavering support over the last few years."
Support act on the tour, which starts in Dunedin on May 31 and hits hometown Auckland twice (The Brownzy on June 9 and Powerstation on June 23), is Decortica.
Elsewhere, local rapper PNC is performing is fantastic new album Under the Influence in its entirety at Auckland's 1885 on May 18.
Support acts include Fire & Ice, Onny Kaulima and People of Paris, and tickets go on sale from May 9 through Under the Radar.
Meanwhile, Ponsonby venue The Whiskey has announced a second raft of bands playing its Whiskey Live series, making for more than 70 local acts over 25 nights at the venue during this New Zealand Music Month.
The May 15-22 line-up includes Aaron Tokona, Boy Crush, Cool Rainbows, Cut Off Your Hands, Hollie Smith, Iva Lamkum, Jennifer Zea, Nairobi Trio, Nathan Haines, Nick D and Dick Johnson, Peter Urlich Sextet, Seth Haapu and Tiki Taane, with DJs Arash, Bobby Brazuka, Jason Eli, Manuel Bundy, Uncle Barnie and Phoebe Falconer set to close each night after the headline act.
