Tiffany Haddish finally confirms Sanaa Lathan was the actress who bit Beyonce

Tiffany Haddish has finally confirmed what we'd all long suspected — that actress Sanaa Lathan was the one who bit Beyonce at a party.

From the moment the Girls Trip star told GQ in March that she witnessed someone biting Queen Bey at a party late last year, Sanaa Lathan has been regularly named as the culprit.

At the time, Haddish also claimed she had tried to beat up the person responsible, but that Beyonce had stopped her.

"She was like, 'Tiffany, no. Don't do that. That b***h is on drugs. She not even drunk … She not like that all the time. Just chill.'"

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Haddish finally seemed to confirm it was Lathan, despite having reportedly signed a nondisclosure agreement on the night of the party.

"I'm super good friends with [Lathan's] stepmum and her dad (producer-director Stan Lathan), and they were mad at me," she told the publication.

"They were like, 'Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it's so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?' But I didn't try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyonce kept me from goin' to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down."

The Love and Basketball actress has previously denied she was the one Haddish was referring to, tweeting in March: "Y'all are funny. Under no circumstances did I bite Beyonce and if I did it would've been a love bite."

Last month, Lathan told Health magazine that it was "the most absurd thing" she's ever been involved in.

"Thank God I've been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumours about me … They used to devastate me in my 20s, but in order to survive in this business, you just have to let it roll."
