Thurman accused faces trial

A judge threw out a felony charge yesterday against a former mental patient accused of stalking actress Uma Thurman, leaving him to face two misdemeanour counts at a trial that likely would require the star to testify.

The basis for the coercion charge was an email that Jack Jordan sent to Thurman, saying he would kill himself if he saw her with another man. The judge said the threat was unlikely to have any effect on Thurman.
