This week finally brings the chance to see what all the new Ghostbusters fuss is about.
Wondering what's going on the world of entertainment in the coming week? Well wonder no more - we have a few things to watch out for. There's a tonne of live music and what's new in film and TV, including the release of the all-female Ghostbusters . Here's the low-down on the upcoming week.
Two massive (and free!) shows
Fifth Harmony and Parson James are coming to New Zealand for the first time ever this week, and both acts are playing free shows in Auckland, with tickets by giveaway only.
Pop/soul singer Parson James will play a show at Auckland's St Mary'sChurch, accompanied by Auckland's LGBT choir, Gals, to raise money for the families of the victims of Orlando.
They'll be passing around collection buckets with all proceeds to go to Equality Florida, a LGBT advocacy group which is supporting the victims' families. The show is on Tuesday, July 12.
FIFTH HARMONY:
And girl group Fifth Harmony, who formed during the second season of The X-Factor USA in 2012, are coming too.
The five-piece are coming fresh from their recent Group of the Year win at the 2015 Billboard Women in Music awards, and the massive success of their hit Work From Home (feat. Ty Dolla $ign).
They'll perform a 30-minute acoustic showcase followed by a live Q&A in the Auckland Town Hall Concert Chamber on Friday, July 15.
Lawrence Arabia (aka James Milne) begins touring off the back of his new album, Absolute Truth, this week.
He'll start off at Oamaru's Grainstore Gallery on Wednesday, July 13 before moving on to hit Queenstown, Dunedin, Christchurch, Napier, Wellington and Auckland as well as a few international dates.
And of course, brother and sister duo Broods hit the road this week too, off the back of their latest album, Conscious.
They'll start off at Christchurch's Horncastle Arena on Thursday, July 14, before moving on to Auckland's Vector Arena on July 15, Wellington's Shed 6 on July 17, and Dunedin's Union Hall on July 18.
Poi E: The Story of Our Song the Tearepa Kahi documentary on the song of our nation, premieres Thursday, July 14.
It will play at the Civic Theatre to open the NZ International Film Festival but will get a nationwide release just a few weeks later, on August 4.
GHOSTBUSTERS:
And the much-hyped and widely contested all-female Ghostbusters finally hits screens on the same day (July 14), so we can finally see what all the fuss is about.
The film's been copping a lot of flack for replacing the all-male cast with women, but we'll see how they fare. And more importantly, whether a Ghostbusters remake is something the world will embrace in 2016.

HBO's new mini-series The Night Of begins this week.
Based on the BBC miniseries Criminal Justice, HBO's version of the show follows the process of a murder case in New York through the eyes of lawyer Jack Stone and his client Naz.
The show's already scored rave reviews, with The Washington Post giving it full marks for creating "good, strong procedural television that respects the art form and commands our attention".
It starts on Wednesday July 13, then will stream on Neon in August.
