Having your innards pulled out and eaten in front of you by a flesh-eating hoarde of zombies isn't for the squeamish.
But that's exactly what happened to a main character on The Walking Dead during last night's episode, when Glenn found himself being dispatched in exactly that way.
Glenn, playedby Steven Yeun, has been on The Walking Dead from the start, and his relationship with Maggie has been one of the show's few romantic storylines.
Nicholas and Glenn find themselves cornered by zombie hoardes.
But that changed when Glenn and Nicholas, a resident of the Alexandria compound, found themselves cornered by zombie masses and stuck on top of a rubbish bin during last night's brutal episode.
Nicholas decided to end his own life, and when Glenn went to catch him, they fell into the hands of the waiting zombie masses, who set upon them with glee.
One of the most upsetting moments of the scene was Glenn watching zombies tear him apart and eating his intestines in front of him.

The incident was so shocking Walking Dead showrunner Scott Gimple released a statement assuring fans they'd see Glenn back in a future story.
"Dear fans of The Walking Dead, this is a hard story to tell ... and knowing you'd be talking and feeling and commiserating, I knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn't mean to say or not say so I will say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback, or current story, to help complete the story," he said.
