Season two of Stranger Things has only been unofficially confirmed so far, but its showrunners are already making promises about it.
Netflix is yet to officially announce the return of its hit series, but creators Matt and Ross Duffer have been talking about it as a "when" more than an "if".
They told Variety: "We have all this stuff that we just didn't have time for, or we didn't feel like we needed to get into in season one, because of the main tension of Will...we have that whole other world that we haven't fully explored in this season, and that was very purposeful."
Besides, given the fact that it is an online sensation and word-of-mouth hit, it would be foolish not to keep the bandwagon rolling.
But the character many online fans want to know about most is Barb, the friend of Nancy who met her tragic end at a party she didn't even want to be at.
Barb won fans over with her 80s aesthetic, too-cool-for-school (or literally anything else) attitude and the general no-nonsense demeanour, but she only appeared in two episodes of Stranger Things.
Fans have complained that Barb didn't get a fair run, and they want to know more about her. Unfortunately for them, the Duffer Brothers have made clear there's no coming back for Barb.
However, they did tell IGN that "Barb will not be forgotten".
"We'll make sure there's some justice for Barb. People get very frustrated, understandably, that the town doesn't seem to be really dealing with Barb. That stuff is all happening. We're just not spending any screen time on it."
They say: "Part of what we want to do with hypothetical Season 2 is to explore the repercussions of everything that happened."
