The reason The Veronicas disappeared

Rachel Bache catches up with Australian pop duo The Veronicas to chat about their new self-titled album, which features their lastest single You Ruined Me.

After a five year hiatus brought on by label dramas, Australian pop duo are The Veronicas are back and ready to rock.

Their new self-titled album The Veronicas was released last month, following up from their 2007 album Hook Me Up.

"To finally have it out and to have music to give to the fans is the most incredible feeling" Jessica Origliasso said about the new album.

"We weren't trying to put boundaries on what a pop record should be, we just wanted to make a record that was us.

"We would write when inspiration would hit," Lisa Origliasso added. "That's sort of the upside of it taking its time.

"We had that creative freedom and and that time to really just ..."

"Be inspired." Jessica said, chiming in over her sister.

The twin sisters, Lisa Origliasso and Jessica Origliasso stopped in at Auckland last week to surprise fans with an intimate showcase.
