He may be small but his ability to capture everyone's hearts is massive - all eyes were on pint-sized star Jacob Tremblay at yesterday's Oscars ceremony.

The actor, 9, who got his break on Room alongside award-winning actress Brie Larson won over audiences with his reaction to meeting the cast of Star Wars.

In his Instagram bio he describes himself as a "fanatic" and even wore Star Wars merchandised socks with his Armani suit on the night.

So when C-3PO, r2-d2 and Bb-8, made a surprise appearance as a nod to music composer John Williams, his excitement was hard to hide.

Tremblay later posted a photo of himself with actress Daisy Ridley, who plays lead character Rey in the latest installment of the popular franchise.

In the caption he describes Ridley as being "even cooler" than her movie character.

Even his interviews garnered attention, namely the witty response to E! host Ryan Seacrest, who asked about his red carpet experience.

"I get to see lots of legs," he said of the view.

Tremblay also revealed why he loaded a photo of himself hitting Sylvester Stallone in the mouth to Instagram.

"I punched him in the face because he took my spot in the best supporting male," Tremblay said.
