Turns out, Star Wars: The Last Jedi star Laura Dern wasn't lying when she said she couldn't stop making "pew" noises every time she handled a laser gun in the film.
The actor plays Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo in the film, and relished her foray into sci-fi so much that
she couldn't resist making the sound effects herself every time she handled an intergalactic weapon.
And now, thanks to the DVD commentary for the film, we have proof.
"You can see Laura Dern say 'pew' when she fires the gun, which she could never not do every time she shot it," the film's director Rian Johnson reveals in his commentary.
Sure enough, here's Dern firing her gun — and mouthing a little "pew" sound effect:
