Tickets for Rogue One, the first of three spin off movies, go on sale today at 10am.

can be amongst the first in the world to see the new movie, as midnight screenings are being held at Event Cinemas on December 15.
The late release of the sci-fi blockbuster will likely be welcome news to local cinema owners.
Last year, The Force Awakens, the seventh instalment in the franchise, became the highest grossing movie of the year, racking up $9.8 million in New Zealand.
