Netflix has confirmed the return of one of these two fan favourites for Stranger Things season 2.
Stranger Things is back in production and judging from the table read, we can see that one fan favourite is officially returning from the upside down.
At the end of the first season, Eleven sacrificed herself to kill the Demogorgan and save her friends, seemingly either dying or disappearing tothe Upside Down.
However, we also got shown a snippet of Sheriff Jim Hopper leaving some Eggos in a hatch in the woods, hinting at Eleven's return.
Well now it's confirmed: Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, was present at the first table read and official cast photo tweeted by Netflix.
Brown appears alongside fellow core cast members Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin, as well as newcomers Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery, and series regulars Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp.
Alas, there's no sign of Shannon Purser who plays fan-favorite Barb, but Winona Ryder and David Harbour (Jim) are also missing despite having been confirmed to return, so you never know.
Stranger Things is set a year after the events of season one, and is due to return to Netflix in 2017.
