Gin Wigmore's birthday surprise

Our rock'n'roll princess Gin Wigmore celebrated her 29th birthday with a surprise party in Los Angeles hosted by hubby Jason Butler, a lead singer in a punk band, and a cake baked by David de Lautour, who plays Ted West in Westside. Of course, the probem with surprise parties is making sure the guest of honour is, well, surprised. And she was - thanks to a major white lie. Wigmore was told the house was on fire and the dogs were inside. "I was in tears of relief/joy for the rest of the night," she said, with a welcoming midde finger.

Maria Tutaia's Tinder tease

The netballer took part in a promotional opportunity with the Harlem Globetrotters, in which she had to sink some hoops. She took to her Instagram page to repost this message from One News, which had the Globetrotters' Nathaniel "Big Easy" Lofton joking with Tutaia, a single gal, about whether she is on social media dating website Tinder. Swipe right.

Crusader Colin Slade pumped up

Indy went to the ball

While big sis Lorde is in England laying down tracks for her new album, and celebrating her Vogue Australia covergirl status, little sis Indy Yelich-O'Connor, a promising singer too, went to her first school ball. And the 16-year-old looked grown up and gorgeous. Mum Sonja posted a glamourpuss shot. "My Princess off to her first school ball," she said proudly.

The teen looks very va-va-voom in a plunging black dress with spaghetti straps and a daring thigh split. India, sporting heavy makeup, posted this stunning pic.

Weathergirl ditched glam for punk

TVNZ's Renee Wright and off-again, on-again hubby Charlie Waide pose together in this pic as punk parents for their son Leo's school fancy dress fundraising night. Sporting a pink wig, a lip ring and some selfie attitude, Wright channels glam rock. Waide's black lippy and guyliner is more authentic. The couple, who broke up earlier this year, are understood to have reconciled.

She's also quite the jetsetter these days, thanks to her upcoming new TVNZ show, Rachel's Tour of Beauty, which takes her on a globe-trotting voyage of discovery to understand beauty in different cultures. This week, the former supermodel was in China... the Great Wall of China, to be precise. What's with the closed eyes, Rach?

Art Green plugged a new car

Does The Bachelor star have a sponsorship deal with Peugeot? The debonnair TV darling ditched his usual social media witticisms for blatant product placement, plugging the car brand on Instagram. Zzzzzzz. A roadtrip with 'girlfriend' Matilda Rice on the weekend turned into a branding hashtag opportunity. "PeugeotLoveTheDrive" and "PeugeotNZ," Green wrote. Where's the art, Art? Bit overt for our taste.
