Jaime Ridge's big weekend
Sally Ridge was spotted at a lavish luxury boutique hotel on Waiheke Island at the weekend, ringing in her daughter Jaime's 21st birthday.
Lavender Hill, an upmarket Tuscan-style lodge, was the chosen venue for a private luncheon on Sunday for around a dozen people to celebrate Ridge the Younger's birthday milestone.
Sources tell The Diary both mother and daughter, and their respective partners, spent Saturday night at the hotel.
More birthday drinks followed on Sunday afternoon, with the Ridge party seeing in the sunset at the exclusive Cable Bay winery.
Matthew Ridge and his partner Carly Binding were absent from the Waiheke frivolities. They had hosted an intimate family dinner at their home on Friday night in honour of Jaime's birthday.
"It was just a small private dinner at our house," Matthew told The Diary. "Everyone got along nicely."
The acrimony between Sally and her former husband has thawed. She has an upcoming holiday planned in Samoa with her new partner, Warren Fenning. Last month, however, Ridge cried poor. She was ordered to pay $100,000 costs to her former partner, Adam Parore, but said she didn't have the means. She applied for an appeal to the court's decision, but failed to pay security for court costs of $5880.
Parore filed bankruptcy proceedings against Ridge in an effort to get costs awarded.
Ridge's bankruptcy hearing before the judge is scheduled for October 13.

Spoils include everything you'd ostensibly need for Fashion Week survival: a pen, pencil, key ring, fruit juice, water bottle and a women's magazine from last week.
