She won the praise of Our Lorde with her cover of the international pop anthem Royals, and American Airlines flight attendant Robyn Shayne has also gained more than half a million YouTube followers.
The airline hostess, who livesin Austin, Texas, was persuaded to sing Lorde's Grammy-winning song by colleague Nick Stracener, who uploaded the clip to the video-sharing website last week.
And it caught the attention of the Kiwi pop star herself. "Robyn, I love you," Lorde tweeted, giving the singing flight attendant the Royals seal of approval.
Shayne, an aspiring musician with a self-titled EP out dedicated to her late brother, was thrilled with the endorsement.

"Thanks for the shout out," she replied. "Love you right back." Her American Airlines co-star is hoping the video will go viral and score her a record deal.
