The Chase: ‘I’m fuming’ Viewers in uproar after Bradley Walsh rejects ‘correct’ answer. / The ITV/The Chase

The Chase viewers are up in arms this week after thinking host Bradley Walsh had incorrectly rejected a contestant's answer.

During the cash builder round Sue, the second contestant of the night, was asked by Walsh" "Who does Wile E. Coyote try to catch in the cartoon Operation Rabbit?"

      Sue quickly replies: "Road Runner".

Bradley told Sue she was incorrect and the right answer was Bugs Bunny.

Viewers in the United Kingdom were outraged as they believed Road Runner to be the correct answer.

I'd be fuming if I'd answered Road Runner to the question 'who does Wylie Cyote chase' and Bradley said wrong it's Bugs Bunny!!! #BeepBeep #TheChase

      — Laura (@lauboo103) October 10, 2018

Errrrr Wile e Coyote chases the roadrunner... not bugs bunny? #thechase #fuming #beepbeep

      — Brogan (@BroganLucey) October 10, 2018

@Mallyedge73 #TheChase giving out wrong answers yet again is making me rage! 😡 I'm fuming! #BradleyWalsh @ITV https://t.co/ZGYyx8N86N

      — ✨ Roz™Thomas 🌙 ✨ (@Rozzy67) October 10, 2018

Walsh was of course correct as Operation Rabbit is a specific movie in which Wile E. Coyote does in fact try to catch Bugs Bunny.

I just checked the Wile Coyote question - the question specifies a movie called "Operation Rabbit" so Bugs Bunny is the correct answer.....
      Listen to the question.....

A bit of consternation about the wile-e-coyote question......largely from people who didn’t actually listen to it#thechase
