Brooke and Mitch have won The Block NZ: Villa Wars after one of the show's tensest live finales yet.
The Christchurch couple sold their Sandringham home after 10 weeks of renovations for $1,350,000, for a profit of $190,000. They get to keep that, plus win an extra $100,000.
They toppedHamilton sisters Sarah and Minanne, who sold their house for $1,272,000, a profit of $123,000; Auckland couple Jamie and Hayden, who sold their home for $1,335,000, a profit of $160,000; and Taranaki couple Cat and Jeremy, who sold their house for $1,320,000 and also won profit of $160,000.

The live auction finale showed just how hot Auckland's property market remains, with all four homes topping $1.2 million.
After their win, Mitch said their winnings would go towards buying a home in Queenstown.
"We really want to move down to Queenstown. We really love it down there but it's not the cheapest. We want to buy a bit of dirt down there. We want a create a few rugruts ... we'll keep practicing for now."

It was one of the tensest finals yet for the TV3 reality show, with all four houses going well above their reserve. The total profit margin was $733,000.
