Green also revealed a bizarre secret about his new girlfriend, admitting he records her in her sleep.
"I sleep talk a lot," explains Rice. "So we downloaded this app, which records it."
Looking back on the show experience, Green admits it was difficult to get to know someone with cameras pointed at you.
"It's a weird trade-off with them all wanting to be the best person they can be. Are their feelings real or are they trying to win a competition?"
Towards the end the competition, Matilda says she struggled to deal with the pressure, which put a strain on her relationship with the other girls, especially Dani Robinson.
"Dani was very confident. That made me feel a little bit sh*t to be honest, I found that quite hard to deal with."
This self-doubt may comes as a surprise to anyone who read a recent women's mag story, which quoted Rice as saying, "I win pretty much everything I do."
But Rice says it was a misquote.
"I was misquoted and didn't say 'win' I said 'wing' everything I do... Winning everything I do is so far from the truth it's not even funny."
She certainly "winged it" towards the end; criticising Dani in her final date with Art, the only contestant to speak to him about another girl throughout the series.
"I really didn't enjoy the Gold Coast because I felt emotionally exhausted... I think that out of last minute desperation I said how I was feeling at the time."
Now able to go public, they say they are "overwhelmed with date possibilities".
Although, they've agreed never to horse ride again.
